Yashpal Jogdand is an assistant professor of Psychology in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. He completed his Ph.D. in Social Psychology from University of St. Andrews, Scotland, under the supervision of Professor Stephen Reicher. His Ph.D. research examined the nature, experience, and consequences of humiliation among Dalits in India (and also among university students in the United Kingdom for comparative purposes). Yashpal’s research interests lie at the intersection of social and political psychology. He is particularly interested in studying issues related to social identity, intergroup emotions, collective action, political rhetoric, and collective mobilisation.
